I am a political scientist from Mollet del Vallès, Barcelona. My research explores how political behavior and culture result from conflict, authoritarian experiences, and social norms. I also have a keen curiosity about topics determining social and memory policies.
I am interested in quantitative methods, especially causal inference designs. I fancy using original data in my work. I have participated in designing survey instruments and intensive data collection fieldwork on novel measures of political behavior. The joint projects with
Vicente Valentim and
Elias Dinas on public expressions of national identity are two examples of it. I also enjoy gathering, digitizing, and working with archival data, as I did for my projects on the consequences of Francoist repression on political behavior in Galicia and the Basque Country. A new project that includes digitizing data on political and conflict mobilization with
Giacomo Lemoli has been funded by NYU’s
Identities and Ideologies project.
My research has been featured at
Kathimerini, in Greece,
GREO.ca, in Canada, and
elDiario.es,
Cadena Ser and
RTVE, in Spain.
